These Terms govern your use of Vadama Samskritam(“the App”), a spoken-Sanskrit practice companion offered by SmartGenEduX (“we”, “us”) at vadamasamskritam.com. By using the App you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
The App is a learning tool. It asks you Sanskrit questions, listens when you speak, transcribes what you said, and gives guided feedback. It is not a certification programme, a translation service, or a substitute for a human teacher.
2. Acceptable use
You agree to use the App only for personal, lawful learning. You will not:
- Use the App to harass, defame, or harm any person.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or overload our servers.
- Submit audio you do not have the right to share, or audio that contains the private information of someone who has not consented.
- Use the App to generate content that violates Indian law or the laws of your jurisdiction.
- Interfere with the App's security or attempt to access another user's data.
We may suspend or terminate access if these rules are broken.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of anything you record or type into the App. By submitting audio or text you grant us a limited, revocable licence to process it for the sole purpose of delivering the App to you (transcription, grading, on-device storage of preferences). We do not claim any other right to your content.
4. Our content
The App's curriculum, recorded audio, written prose, lotus identity, code, and design are the intellectual property of SmartGenEduX and our content collaborators. You may not copy, republish, or train machine-learning models on this content without our written permission.
5. Pricing
V1 is free to use. If we introduce paid plans in a future release, the price, billing frequency, and refund policy will be displayed before you confirm payment. Payments, when introduced, will be processed by a regulated payment provider; we will never see your card details.
6. Disclaimers
The App is provided as is. Sanskrit transcription and guided feedback rely on third-party language models and may be imperfect — especially for proper names and uncommon vocabulary. We make no warranty that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific level of fluency will result from its use.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SmartGenEduX, its officers and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (zero, for free V1 users).
8. Privacy
Your privacy is covered by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
9. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by closing the browser. If an account is created in a future release, you may delete it by emailing us. We may terminate or restrict access if you breach these Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at our registered place of business.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the App evolves. Material changes will be announced inside the App and dated at the top of this page. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
